Lysine

Our Lysine tablets contain the essential amino acid L-Lysine hydrochloride. Lysine is classed as an essential amino acid which means that it cannot be made in the body, but must be obtained from the diet. Typically found in small amounts in plants, lysine is naturally occurring mainly in animal protein and is needed for the production of carnitine, which helps the body metabolise fats. As those who follow a vegan diet may be deficient in this essential amino acid, we’ve ensured our formula is free from animal products.

Each tablet provides 500mg L-lysine in a free-form state from L-lysine hydrochloride.

Suitable for those following a plant-based diet who may not be consuming sufficient lysine. Can be taken as and when needed but is also suitable for daily use. Higher Nature's Lysine is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
